You can run a Pre-check before launching your migration to detect any errors and warnings you might encounter. This can help you solve potential issues before running your actual migration.
Pre-check is available for the following commands:
- Copy Content
- Copy Content Type
- Copy Group
- Copy List
- Copy Site
- Copy Site Column
- Copy Term Group
- Copy Term Set
- Copy Workflow
- Import from Box.com
- Import Document
- Import Google Drive Document
Follow any of the links above, and the instructions for how to run the pre-check using the
-WhatIf parameter will be included in the example scripts for the selected action.
When you perform a PowerShell task, you can find the resulting report---for example, the Pre-check report or Migration report---in the app under Tasks. Select the report and click to save a copy to your workstation.
You can also use the PowerShell command Export Report to automatically generate an XLSX file of your report when the pre-check or migration is done.
